Mistle Thrush (Turdus viscivorus)

This is a beautiful bird often seen in open countryside, woodland or parkland, It eats invertebrates and fruits. Northern populations are migratory. It nests early in the year in a tree and lays 3 - 5 eggs which hatch after 12 days.


Song Thrush (Turdus philomelos)

Often seen hammering snails against hard surfaces it also eats other invertebrates and fruits. A summer migrant to northern Europe, resident or winter migrant elsewhere. It nests in trees and shrubs laying 3 - 5 eggs which hatch in 13 days.
