Robin

Robin (Erithacus rubecula)

In the United Kingdoms these little birds will almost sit on your hands, and if seen regularly in your garden they can appear to become a ‘friend’. However in Europe they are quite shy birds. They prefer mixed woodland habitats which attracts them to parklands, and in Britain they are a common garden bird who will often feed from bird feeders. They generally prefer a variety of insects and spiders, they will also eat small berries in winter. If you are digging in the garden they will often follow you around looking for any insects that you may have dug up.
