Redwing (Turdus iliacus)

This small migratory thrush arrives in the UK in the Autumn and leaves in the spring. They feed on berries or worms and can be seen foraging in the undergrowth. They are slightly smaller than the song thrush and have the distinguishing red flash along their side.
